As our second birthday is approaching we are happy to announce that we've just passed another minor milestone this spring and we also added some new features to the site. Here’s what we’ve been up to recently.
If you follow us on Twitter or use Stockfresh regularly you must have noticed the minor updates we made on the site recently. We just sum it up here because we are planning to dust off this blog as well and restart posting here on a regular basis.
Of course we are very happy to mention again that Stockfresh passed the 1.4 million mark in April. This means that now we have more than 1.4 million pieces of stock images available for download. We know this is still less than what you may find on some of the bigger microstock agencies but we strongly believe that our collection is at least as valuable as the bigger ones because we bring you the best quality stock imagery only without stuffing the search results with mediocre images.
Ways to get engaged
We also have a new colleague on board who is responsible for making Stockfresh more visible in social media. Gergo Vamosi is a veteran Hungarian online journalist and blogger who joined Stockfresh this April as a community manager and social marketer. Besides building new connections with possible business and affiliate partners, bloggers, contributors and members of the stock photography community, he is regularly writing posts to our social media outlets and our blog so don’t be surprised to hear from us more often.
We are happy to hear from you on these channels too and encourage you to get engaged, thus not only have your voice heard but help us make Stockfresh more successful as well. Remember: each and every like, mention or re-share helps us to raise awareness and may bring more traffic, more downloads more profit for our contributors – without whom we couldn’t consider Stockfresh a success. Recent improvements
As a part of our effort of continuously improving Stockfresh we added numerous minor improvements to the site in the recent months. One example is the new search bar that was slightly revamped: we added two new checkboxes to it so you can make searches for photos and vector artwork separately. We are currently working on a more streamlined shopping experience so that the site will be even easier to use.
We also have something for our contributing artists: for a while it’s been possible for them to convert their earnings to credits at a discount rate if they prefer not to withdraw cash but to make purchases on Stockfresh instead. We implemented this option because many of our users requested it and, as always, we were happy to satisfy their needs.
That’s all for now but stay tuned: we are still working on to revamp some parts of the site and as we’ve mentioned it on Twitter, Stockfresh will most likely reach the 1.5 million images milestone before its second birthday in June at the current pace. Woohoo!
